High pressure continues with best rain chances south of I16. Lots of clouds keep our temps below average today. A stationary front will linger to our south into next week. An upper level trough will linger over the eastern US into the middle of next week. Waves of energy will rotate through the area bringing scattered showers and possible storms. Low pressure may develop along the stalled front to our east. Whatever tries to develop should move away from the southeast coast quickly Monday. Slightly drier and warmer conditions are expected next week.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance for showers, lows near 70.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a 60% chance for showers and storms, highs in the low 80s.

Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance for showers and storms, lows near 70.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for showers and storms, highs in the low to mid 80s.

A tropical wave is forecast to move off the wets coast of Africa Sunday. There is a 30% chance for tropical development over the next 7 days as the wave moves west to west southwestward.
