Bananas Foster highlights Chatham County children awaiting adoption

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Twenty children in Chatham County’s foster care system are still waiting for forever families.
Friday, Bananas Foster helped shine a spotlight on those kids, hoping to help them find new homes. Bananas Foster, in partnership with The Belong Project, hosted an event at the Savannah Bananas stadium, taking videos and photos to promote the children for adoption.
The children were interviewed, photographed professionally and enjoyed watching the Bananas during a private practice.
“We are just so grateful for this partnership where we get to not only inspire others to get involved, to foster, to adopt, any of the above, but as well to just see the amazing kids that are here in the local community that are here and adoption eligible,” said Keeley Lamm, marketing coordinator for Bananas Foster.
