The Tams to perform free Downtown Live concert in Statesboro on June 11

STATESBORO, Ga. (WTOC) - Beach music fans will have a chance to hear some classic hits when The Tams return to downtown Statesboro next week.

The legendary group is scheduled to perform at the Downtown Live Concert Series on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. in historic downtown Statesboro. Organizers say only two concerts remain in this year’s series.

Known for songs including “Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Happy,” The Tams continue to entertain audiences with their signature blend of beach music and classic soul.

The Downtown Live season will wrap up June 25 with fan-favorite Papa Sol, a band known for mixing pop, soul, funk, reggae, beach music and rock ‘n’ roll into its performances.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live music. Admission is free, and food trucks will begin serving at 6 p.m. Several downtown restaurants are also within walking distance of the concert venue.

Downtown Live concerts are family-friendly and open to all ages.
