Entries open for 2027 Hilton Head St. Patrick’s Day Parade

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, Sc. (WTOC) - Ready to get your green on? Entries are now open for the 41st annual Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
The parade steps off at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2027. Businesses, nonprofits, schools, civic organizations, neighborhood groups and individuals are encouraged to participate.
Organizers welcome floats, decorated vehicles and marching groups for the celebration, which brings thousands of spectators to the island.
Dana Millen, a member of the parade committee, said participants help showcase the community’s personality and spirit. Organizers encourage people who have enjoyed watching the parade to consider entering this year.
Participants can compete for five awards:
- Grand Marshal Award: Best Small Business Float
- Shamrock Award: Best Nonprofit Float
- Judges Award: Best Commercial Float
- Leprechaun Award: Best Youth Float
- Irish Heritage Award: Best Irish Heritage Float
Founded in 1983 by local businessman Tom Reilley and a group of family and friends, the event is South Carolina’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade, according to organizers.
Past parades have featured marching bands, colorful floats, the Budweiser Clydesdales and the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
