Suspect detained after multiple shots fired inside Parker’s gas station, Beaufort PD confirms

BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 6/11/2026] A man was arrested after shots were fired inside a Parker’s gas station in Beaufort.

At around 5:04 p.m. Wednesday night, Beaufort Police officers responded to a shots fired incident at Parker’s located at 3642 Trask Parkway. 

Officers were advised that multiple shots were fired inside the gas station and the suspect remained inside and demanded the police respond. Officers entered the gas station and were able to safely detain the suspect, 26-year-old Tyrik Palmer. Police said there were no reported injures from this incident.

Arrest records show Palmer was booked in the Beaufort County Detention Center and charged with discharging a firearm.

[ORIGINAL STORY] According to the Beaufort Police Department there is a large police presence at Parker’s located at 3462 Trask Parkway.

Officers said they are investigating a shots fired incident. Police said the suspect has been detained and there is no threat to the public.
