Statesboro man indicted in Garden City shooting that left woman seriously injured

GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTOC) - A Statesboro man has been indicted on multiple felony charges in connection with a June shooting that seriously injured a woman in Garden City.

A grand jury indicted 29-year-old Ryan Boyd this week on the following charges:

  • Two counts of aggravated assault
  • Two counts of aggravated battery
  • Two counts of criminal damage to property
  • Two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

The indictment alleges that Boyd fired at a woman inside a vehicle from his own vehicle on June 11.

According to the indictment, Boyd caused serious bodily harm that disfigured the woman’s face and rendered one of her eyes useless.

The allegations also state that Boyd damaged the vehicle occupied by the woman and a man.

WTOC previously reported that the woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition following the shooting at a Garden City gas station.

Boyd is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
