PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Port Wentworth will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with its third annual La Fiesta Hispana on Friday, Sept. 25.

The free, family-friendly celebration will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at VyStar Pavilion, located at 20 Anchor Park Blvd. This marks the event’s first year at the pavilion after being held at City Hall for its first two years.

The evening will feature a live performance by international salsa group Los X Adolescentes, along with cultural performances, dancing, local food trucks, and vendors. Festivities will conclude with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

City leaders noted that La Fiesta Hispana will be the first cultural event held inside VyStar Pavilion, following a turnout of thousands during the recent 912 Community Day.

“This facility just put Port Wentworth on the map as a destination,” Port Wentworth City Manager Steve Davis said. “People are expected to travel in for this celebration and free concert. This celebration is another draw for the city’s Anchor Park district.”

While admission is free, community members can RSVP and find more details online through Live Like Locals.
