New logistics park planned across from Hyundai Metaplant in Ellabell

ELLABELL, Ga. (WTOC) - Scannell Properties is moving forward with plans to develop Ridgeway Logistics Park, a large-scale industrial project located across from the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant in Ellabell.

The development will be built on a 335-acre site adjacent to the future Interstate 16 interchange, which is expected to be completed in 2027.

The first phase of the project calls for a 1.1 million-square-foot speculative industrial building. Long-term plans include multiple buildings totaling nearly 4 million square feet.

According to the developer, the site is positioned to serve warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operations thanks to its proximity to Hyundai, the Port of Savannah and major transportation corridors.

The initial building will feature a 40-foot clear height, 234 dock positions, four drive-in doors and parking for hundreds of trailers and vehicles.

The project marks Scannell Properties’ second major industrial park development in the Savannah area, following the company’s Rockingham Farms Logistics Park project.
