Woman rescued after falling into Savannah River, officials say
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A woman was rescued from the Savannah River Monday evening near Plant Riverside District after she fell into the water near a Starbucks, Savannah Fire officials said.
Fire crews said the woman was in the river for about five minutes before the department’s marine unit arrived and pulled her to safety.
She was taken to Memorial Health for evaluation and appeared to be OK, officials said.
