His family and community describe him as a man who was generous hardworking, and selfless. Ron’s brother Javier Martinez, spoke on his character and the true meaning of Sunday’s celebration- which they have now named “Ron Deleon Day”

“My brother, Ronald Deleon, he’s very well known in this community. Everybody knows him, he always gives away and he always provided the same thing - everybody gets an equal opportunity. Pretty much what we did is we brought in every food truck around us, starting off vendors, young people, all that kind of stuff, and we wanted to give everybody a fair shot, everybody to come on by,” said Martinez.

The event was free to the public and attendees were able to go home with meat boxes and other vendor give-a-ways.
