UPDATE: Two people hurt in Friday night shooting on Wheaton St.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - UPDATE: Two people were hospitalized Friday night after a shooting in the 700 block of Wheaton St.

According to SPD, officers initially responded to the scene around 8:45 p.m. based on ShotSpotter reports. At the scene, investigators collected evidence and spoke to witnesses who indicated an unknown group had shot at a car going west on Wheaton St., hurting two people inside the car.

The two victims were taken to a hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
