Statesboro man convicted by jury for 2024 double homicide, sentenced to life
BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A Bulloch County jury convicted a man on all 8 counts after a fatal shooting that killed 2 men in 2024.
20-year-old Kentaevious Raeshon Davis was found guilty of 2x malice murder, 2x felony murder, 2x aggravated assault, and 2x possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony by a Bulloch County jury this week.
Our previous reporting reveals Jamaryce Mincey and Christopher Joyce were both killed at the Days Inn on February 29th, 2024.

Davis was arrested around a week later, on March 7th, 2024.
The investigation started when employees did a welfare check and found the bodies of Mincey and Joyce with gunshot wounds in the room.
An officer said neither of the men found in the room were listed as the ones renting it.

Davis was sentenced to life without parole plus 5 years, to run consecutive.
The Ogeechee Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office provided the following statement following the trial:
“After a four-day trial, a Bulloch County jury found Kentaevious Davis guilty on all eight counts for the 2024 double homicide at the Days Inn in Statesboro. Senior Judge Robbie Turner sentenced Davis to life in prison without the possibility of parole
