Section of I-16 westbound to have single lane closure for deck work

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE] GDOT said contractors likely won’t finish the I-16 WB bridge (over Tremont Road) deck work before Monday’s rush hour requiring an extended lane closure duration. 

Transportation officials said there will still be a singe lane on Monday’s commute into the evening before they can complete.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Monday morning rush hour traffic should anticipate delays as its contractors will be working on I-16 from the I-516 interchange to Chatham Parkway for deck work.

The deck work is for the I-16 westbound bridge over Tremont Road.

They said drivers should anticipate delays throughout the day as the work continues as well.
