RBC Heritage Classic supports local charities through concession stands
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WTOC) - The RBC Heritage Classic brings an economic boost to the island and raises money for local charities through concession stands operated by nonprofits across the tournament grounds.
Concession stands at the tournament serve soda, water, alcohol and food selections. Different groups staff each stand to raise money for their schools or nonprofits.
The Native Island Business and Community Affairs Association operates a tent next to Hole 10, where volunteers serve customers. The nonprofit has set up at the Heritage for more than 10 years.
The organization is dedicated to fostering economic development, improving quality of life and supporting Native Island businesses. It supports Gullah Geechee culture through events like business spotlights, seminars and the Gullah food pavilion.
Lalisa Campbell, assistant executive director of the Native Island Business and Community Affairs Association, said the funds raised through the Heritage every year make a difference.
“Whether it’s a new business or an old business that needs a business card, needs a website, or a business license. It helps them give back and helps us to help some of people in the community if they need something fixed on their house or something like that,” Campbell said.
The tournament runs April 16-19, 2026. Since 1987, the Heritage Classic Foundation has given back over $61 million to charities across the Lowcountry.
