Pooler man arrested for armed robbery near Godley Park
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - On August 8, 2025, police arrested Marveen Mathurin in the 200 block of Willow Point Circle around 3:45 in the afternoon.

Mathurin was charged with aggravated assault and theft by taking by the Savannah Police Department, as well as driving without a license and disregarding a traffic control device by the Port Wentworth Police Department.
The aggravated assault and theft by taking charge stem from an armed robbery incident which took place near the park in the Godley Park subdivision on July 29, 2025.
Police reports for the incident state that Mathurin took another person’s phone and “pulled out a green knife” when the person attempted to take it back.
He then “told him he would be back tomorrow for more stuff,” the report states.
The person did not escalate the situation and instead went home and told their mother, who then contacted the police.
Mathurin was arrested at his home ten days later.
