Pedestrian killed after being hit by car on Ogeechee Road
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Savannah.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the Chatham County Police Department requested Troopers for a vehicle verses pedestrian fatal crash on State Route 25 at Gamble Road around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.
Officials say the pedestrian was walking west to east in the northbound lanes in an un-lit, non-crossing area when a white Chevy Malibu traveling north in the left lane fatally struck the pedestrian.
GSP says the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pedestrian’s identification is currently unknown.
