Fire at W 36th and Barnard St. displaces two residents
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 4:47 p.m. 7/16/2025] The fire was declared to be “under control” around 4:20 p.m., according to officials.
Two residents of the building will be displaced because of the blaze.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Savannah Fire Department has posted an alert on social media that they have dispatched crews to a structure in downtown Savannah.
Crews are currently on the scene at the corner of W 36th Street and Barnard Street.
Locals are being asked to avoid the area.
