Coastal Waters Forecast: Today: SW winds at 10-15 kt becoming S late. Seas: 2-3 ft. Tonight: SW winds at 10-15 kt. Seas: 2-3 ft.

A broad area of low pressure is producing disorganized showers and storms over the Bay of Campeche . There is a 20% chance for tropical development as the system moves to the west-northwest over the next couple of days before moving inland over northern Mexico and South Texas. Tropical Storm Erin is located over the central tropical Atlantic. Erin is forecast to become a major hurricane this weekend moving just north of Puerto Rico. At this time most computer models continue to turn Erin to the north next week and keep it well off the east coast of the US. Continue to get regular updates to make sure that turn occurs.
