Large building collapses in Brunswick, spreads bricks, debris on road

BRUNSWICK, Ga. (WTOC) - A large structure has collapsed near Norwich Street and First Street in Brunswick, according to the Brunswick Fire Department.

In a social media post, the Brunswick Fire Department says that Brunswick Police, Fire, and Code Enforcement are on the scene.

Officials have not yet released the cause of the structure collapse, but a Google Street Image captured in November 2024 shows a building already in advanced stages of dilapidation in the same location.

Google labels this business as “Discount COMPUTER Outlet (temporarily closed)”.

Locals are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
