Cary Hill officially named Richmond Hill police chief

RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Richmond Hill has officially named Cary Hill as Chief of Police for the Richmond Hill Police Department.

City leaders say they are “proud to announce” the appointment, noting that Chief Hill has already been serving in the role on an interim basis. His selection follows a period of internal leadership transition at the department.

As chief, Hill will oversee day-to-day operations of the Richmond Hill Police Department, guide long-term public safety strategy, and work with city officials on issues ranging from patrol coverage to community policing and crime prevention.

City officials thanked the department and the community for their support during the transition and say they look forward to Hill’s continued leadership in keeping Richmond Hill safe.

The announcement was made this week on the City of Richmond Hill’s official Facebook page.
