Hinesville man wanted for kidnapping, terroristic threats, and battery turns himself in

HINESVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - The Hinesville Police Department (HPD) says a Liberty County man wanted for kidnapping, terroristic threats, and battery has turned himself in.

According to a social media post from the police department, Gene Rhodes was identified as a suspect in “disturbing video circulating on social media showing a male intimidating a visibly terrified female, forcing her to say certain things on camera while she is clearly suffering from a bloodied mouth and nose.”

Rhodes is facing the following charges:

  • Kidnapping
  • Terroristic Threats
  • Battery

According to HPD, Rhodes voluntarily turned himself in to the Liberty County Jail without incident July 21.

He is currently being held pending his first appearance bond hearing.
