UPDATE: Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office locates missing inmate

TATTNALL COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - UPDATE: The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office has located missing inmate 53-year-old Andy Lee Tootle. Deputies say he was arrested around 4:00pm Thursday at a home in Tattnall County.

Tootle now faces new escape charges. The investigation continues into those who may have harbored or helped with Tootle’s escape.

On July 29th, the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office says Tootle walked off from his assigned car wash detail at the jail.

His last known address was on Holiday Lake Road, Reidsville, GA 30453. He was seen wearing an orange inmate worker t-shirt and blue pants.

Tootle was being held for a misdemeanor probation violation related to failing to appear for a status hearing.

His original offense was Possession of a Drug-Related Object.

According to TCSO, Tootle was not considered armed or dangerous.
