Savannah raccoon tests positive for rabies
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A raccoon in Savannah has tested positive for rabies, according to the Chatham County Health Department.
The raccoon was picked up and cared for by a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. It began to show abnormal behavior, before it suddenly died.
The Health Department is reminding everyone to avoid contact with wild animals and make sure your pets are vaccinated against rabies.
