by Shea Schrader, WTOC Staff

BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Korean government says it plans to open a probe into possible human rights violations against its citizens during the Hyundai megasite ICE raid.

That’s according to the Korea Times.

The report says this comes after some of the Korean workers who were detained described they were being held in harsh conditions.

475 people were arrested in an ICE raid at the Hyundai megasite more than a week ago, at the HL-GA battery plant.

Previous coverage:

300 of them were Korean nationals.

They returned home this past Friday after South Korea and the United States made a deal.
