Overturned vehicle on fire in Beaufort County, no occupants found after search
BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC. (WTOC) - At around 4:20 a.m. Monday morning, the City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department went to the intersection of County Shed Road and Eastern Road for a reported motor vehicle crash with possible injuries.
On the way to the scene, Beaufort County Dispatch updated responding units that the vehicle was overturned and on fire.
Crews said they found a single vehicle overturned and fully involved when they got there.
After a thorough search of the vehicle and surrounding area for occupants, crews did not find anyone nearby.
According to fire officials, units stayed on scene for around 1.5 hours to make sure the fire was completely out and the scene was safe.
