One suspect arrested in Metter murder investigation, one still wanted
METTER, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 4:20 p.m. 7/21/2025] On July 21, Is’real Saunders was taken into custody after being arrested by law enforcement.
The Candler County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest via social media and stated that Saunders will be transported back to the Candler County Jail, where he will remain in custody awaiting further court proceedings.
The Metter Police Department provided this photo on their own social media page and confirmed that Saunders was arrested in Bibb County, GA:

Alfonzo Deondre’ Tippins, the other suspect wanted by Metter Police in connection with Quincy Hall’s murder, has not yet been reported to be in custody.
[UPDATE 1:26 p.m. 7/14/2025] Metter Police are looking for multiple people in connection with a murder investigation.
In a statement, the Metter Police Department said that on Friday, July 11, police responded to a shots fired call around 3:00 p.m. around MLK Boulevard and East Lee Street.
A gunshot victim was identified as Quincy Hall, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Candler County Coroner.
The people wanted in relation to this case are Alfonzo Deondre’ Tippins and Is’real Saunders.


This case is being investigated jointly by the Metter Police Department, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Candler County Sheriff’s Office.

On their social media Friday night, officials posted to be on the lookout for Deondre Tippins, who is wanted in connection of a murder investigation that took place Friday afternoon in Metter.
Police say warrants have been issued for Tippins.
