Missing teen with serious medical condition located safe
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 3:51 p.m. 7/24/2025] Haylee Kleinschmidt has been located and is safe, according to the Chatham County Police Department.

Chatham County Police Department Working to Locate Runaway with Serious Medical Condition
Chatham County, GA (July 24, 2025) – The Chatham County Police Department is working to locate a 16-year-old runaway who may be in danger due to a medical condition.
Haylee Kleinschmidt was last seen by her family Wednesday night. While officers believe she ran away, the Chatham County Police Department stresses the need to urgently find her because Haylee suffers from a medical condition and needs medication. Haylee’s need for medication is urgent, and she can suffer life-threatening complications without it.
Haylee is 5′5″ and weighs approximately 130 lbs. Her last known location was in the 400 block of Johnny Mercer. She was last seen wearing a black top with spaghetti straps, and black pants with light embroidery. Her blonde hair is now dyed brunette and she no longer wears braces.
