Man arrested after Candler Co. Sheriff’s Office responds to call involving the possible sexual assault of a child under 10

CANDLER COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Candler County Sheriff’s Office announced that an arrest has been made in an investigation that started Thursday.

Thursday, Candler County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call, “involving the possible sexual assault of a child under the age of 10.”

Deputies arrested Gustavo Alfredo Martinez and charged him with felony child molestation.

Investigators responded and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist this investigation. According to the sheriff’s office, GBI agents responded immediately and an arrest warrant was issued.
