Hampton County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect in Fox Trail Road shooting after 4-day manhunt

HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - The Hampton County’s Sherriff’s Office has arrested Jordan M. Greene, a suspect wanted in connected with a shooting that happened last week in Cummings.

Greene was wanted for firing into an occupied vehicle, which contained a young child. While the child was unharmed, one adult victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The incident led to a four-day manhunt.

Following his arrest, Greene was formally charged with:

• Discharging a firearm into a dwelling

• Assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature

• Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime

He appeared before a magistrate and was issued a $40,000 cash or surety bond.

Sheriff Anthony Russell extended his thanks to deputies, investigators, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), local news media, and members of the public who helped locate the suspect.

“This arrest reflects our commitment to protecting the residents of Hampton County,” said Sheriff Russell. “We will continue to stand against gun violence and work toward building safer, stronger communities.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
