The Georgia boys’ team captured the gold medal with a hard-fought 8–6 victory over Texas in the championship match.

The release states that Savannah player Matthew Gavin, a sophomore at Benedictine, scored a crucial goal that helped lift Georgia to the title.
Senior Christopher Morgan from Douglasville scored 6 goals and Terry Smith Roswell scored one goal.
On the girls’ side, the release states Georgia battled Florida in a nail-biting game, pulling out a 2–1 win to capture the bronze medal. SaraBeth Tate from Augusta scored both goals.
