City of Savannah hosts “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” Youth Summit

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Savannah preparing middle and high schoolers around the area for a bright future.

They held the “Oh, the Places You’ll Go” youth summit at the civic center Thursday afternoon.

There were several vendors there to provide students with information on universities, trade schools, and how to get a job.

A main goal of the event was to encourage the students to recognize their strengths and goals, and how to create a path towards success.

“Opportunities for youth, if you want to get information about university, if you want to get information concerning trade or technical college, but also what’s happening in the community,” said Dr. Anntionette Williams, Assistant Director for City of Savannah Human Resources. “So to be able to have universities and colleges come together but also, what are the other community resources that our youth can also benefit from?”
