Chatham County Mosquito Control to treat Tybee and nearby islands today
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Pending weather conditions, Chatham County Mosquito Control will be treating areas east of the Wilmington River on Thursday, July 24, 2025.
These areas include the Isle of Armstrong, Oatland Island, Whitemarsh Island, Talahi Island, Wilmington Island, and Tybee Island.
Mosquito Control will also be covering Hutchinson Island and Elba Island.
This treatment will be provided by Chatham County Mosquito Control aircraft and will begin one hour prior to sunset.
The sun is scheduled to set around 8:27 p.m. today, so residents can expect to see the low-flying yellow Mosquito Control plane around 7:30 p.m. or so.
