Chatham Area Transit service changes effective Monday

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Starting Monday, Chatham Area Transit announced that they will implement service changes for some fixed-routes.

CAT noted that these changes will not impact all routes.

5 Port Wentworth: Route 5 will operate every two hours on Saturdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. There will be no service on Sundays, and weekday service will remain unchanged.
11 Candler: Route 11 will follow a new pattern in both directions, including new and existing stops to improve coverage while minimizing disruptions.

  - Habersham & 37th
Existing Stops to be Used:
- Inbound
- - East Broad & 35th
  - East Broad & 33rd
  - East Broad &Anderson (Lane)
  - East Broad & Duffy
  - East Broad & Park Ave.
  - Waldburg & East Broad
- Outbound:
- - Taylor St. (Rose of Sharon)
  - Habersham & Gwinnett (Southbound)
  - Habersham & Waldburg St.
  - Habersham & Park Ave.
  - Habersham & 40th
14 Abercorn: Route 14 will operate under a new frequency on Saturdays. The timing will be adjusted to every 45-minutes.
28 Waters: Route 28 will now have an additional bus during morning and afternoon peak hours.
- Inbound:
- - Run hourly from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and then from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
- Outbound:
- - Run hourly from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and again from 2:00 - 6:00 a.m.
