19-year-old NC woman arrested for attempted murder, stabbing 25-year-old man on Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD, SC (WTOC) - A North Carolina woman was arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning on Hilton Head Island, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a reported stabbing call at a villa on Folly Field Road at approximately 1:45 a.m. on August 12, 2025.

Upon arrival, the Sheriff’s Office says deputies located a 25-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

A female suspect who remained on the scene was identified as 19-year-old Kyra Honeycut of Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Several witnesses also remained on the scene, and the BCSO says the investigation revealed everyone in the villa was vacationing together from North Carolina.

According to the report, an “argument inside the residence escalated into a physical altercation” and “at some point during the incident, Honeycut retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim.”

Honeycut was arrested on the charge of attempted murder and remains in custody at the Beaufort County Detention Center at the time of writing.
