17-year-old charged in murder of 14-year-old on St. Helena Island
BEAUFORT COUNTY, Sc. (WTOC) - A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection to a shooting that killed a 14-year-old on St. Helena Island.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Charles Jamirea Williams was served warrants for his arrest on the charges of murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

On the night of July 18, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a gunshot victim at a home on Capers Island Circle. A 14-year-old boy died as a result of the shooting.
During the investigation, Williams was identified as the person responsible for the shooting.
