Savannah Police investigates multiple gunshots reported on Deerfield Rd
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE] According to the Savannah Police Department officers, shots were fired but they did not believe there was a threat to the public as of 7 p.m.
Officers told WTOC that they believed someone may have shot a firearm into or near a wooded area near Deerfield Road and Briarcliff Circle.
That location is near Windsor Forest Elementary School.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Savannah Police Department is investigating after approximately 13 gunshots were reported on Deerfield Road.
According to authorities, officers found no victims and no property damage at the scene.
Investigators believe someone fired the shots into nearby woods.
The incident remains under investigation.
