2 hospitalized, 1 seriously injured following near head-on collision in Pooler
POOLER, Ga. (WTOC) - Two drivers were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a near head-on collision that left one person trapped inside their car.
The crash happened on East US Highway 80 at Old Dean Forest Road, prompting a major emergency response from Pooler Fire-Rescue and Garden City Fire Rescue.
First responders arrived to find one person trapped inside their car. Firefighters had to cut away the driver’s side door and displace the dashboard to free the driver, who suffered serious injuries.
Both drivers involved were transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
