Mobile home heavily damaged in Tattnall County fire; No injuries reported

REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - A mobile home was heavily damaged by fire early Monday morning in Tattnall County, though no injuries were reported, authorities said.
Tattnall County Fire, the Reidsville Fire Department, Rogers State Prison Fire and Tattnall County EMS were dispatched at 5:06 a.m. June 1 to a structure fire on Rodeo Drive.
When firefighters arrived, they found a single-wide mobile home with additional rooms attached approximately 80% engulfed in flames. Additional fire apparatus and a water tanker were called to the scene to assist with firefighting operations.
Fire crews requested that Georgia Power disconnect electricity to the structure because of live power lines. According to officials, crews waited for power to be disconnected before continuing certain firefighting operations. Georgia Power arrived and completed the disconnection approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes after being notified.
No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist the property owner following the fire.
While responding to the Rodeo Drive fire, one firefighter encountered a tractor-trailer fire on Highway 121 near a cell tower. Some personnel were diverted to that incident while other crews continued responding to the structure fire.
The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control during the tractor-trailer fire.
The cause of the structure fire is still under investigation.
