Man accused in crash that killed Lyft driver, passenger pleads not guilty, requests jury trial

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A man accused of fleeing police and fatally striking two people with his vehicle pleaded not guilty Friday during his first appearance in Superior Court.

Quadramel Williams entered the plea and requested a jury trial. WTOC was the only news outlet with a camera inside the courtroom.

Authorities said Williams was running from police in his car when he struck a vehicle carrying Lyft driver Habibullah Azizi and passenger Trejon Anthony, killing them both.

Williams faces multiple charges, including two counts of felony murder.

He is scheduled to return to court Dec. 2.
