Faith-based film ‘TAKSIL’ seeks volunteers, extras across south Georgia

BACON COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - ONE Compelling Picture (OCP), a faith-based film production company led by Pastor Sidney Bryant Sr. of Compel Inner-Province Fellowship Church, is seeking churches, community organizations, families and individuals across South Georgia to participate in the production of its latest feature film, “TAKSIL,” which is scheduled for release on Amazon Prime in 2027.

Filming is set to take place throughout Coffee and Bacon counties during June 2026. Organizers say the project will involve volunteers, actors, churches, students, businesses and community members in what they describe as one of the region’s largest collaborative faith-based film productions.

The production is being coordinated through the Faith & Film Coalition, a network of churches, colleges, community partners and creative professionals focused on producing films that promote faith-based messages and community engagement.

“TAKSIL is more than a movie,” Bryant said. “It is an opportunity for our churches and communities to come together, serve together, and tell a story that points people toward truth, faith and hope.”

The film centers on an assistant district attorney who uncovers a conspiracy involving warehouse fires, corruption and a redevelopment scheme that threatens an entire community. As the investigation unfolds, the story explores themes of justice, courage, sacrifice and redemption.

According to OCP, the organization has produced several faith-based films through partnerships with local churches and volunteers throughout South Georgia. Previous productions have included cast and crew members serving in acting, technical, production support and hospitality roles.

Organizers are encouraging churches throughout Coffee County, Bacon County and surrounding areas to participate by providing volunteers and background actors. Congregations may be asked to help fill scenes depicting community gatherings, office environments, emergency response situations and church services.

The production team is currently seeking extras of all ages and backgrounds for a variety of roles, including police officers, victims, clerical staff, community members, business professionals, emergency personnel and church congregants.

No acting experience is required, according to organizers. Individuals, families, church groups, civic organizations and students are invited to participate.

Upcoming opportunities for extras include:

  • June 16 — Broxton, Georgia, 5 p.m.
  • June 17 — Alma, Georgia, 9 a.m.
  • June 18 — Douglas, Georgia, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
  • June 19 — Douglas, Georgia, 5 p.m.
  • June 20 — Douglas, Georgia, 10 a.m.

Participants will have an opportunity to experience a film production environment and work alongside members of the cast and crew during filming.

Bryant, who has promoted collaborative filmmaking as a ministry and outreach tool for more than a decade, said the project is intended to bring together churches, businesses, students and community members while showcasing South Georgia to a national audience.

“We believe God can use film as a powerful ministry tool,” Bryant said. “Every person who participates, whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes, becomes part of something much larger than a movie.”

Individuals, churches and organizations interested in serving as extras or volunteers may contact the production team at casting@compelinnerprovince.org.
