Effingham County Sheriff’s Office searching for suspects in vehicle break-ins, stolen truck

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a series of vehicle break-ins were reported Friday morning.

Deputies said the public has already sent video and images related to the break-ins. One image specifically shows a person holding a gun while going through vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office. Investigators said they believe two to three people were involved in the break-ins.

Deputies said items were taken from vehicles that were unlocked and had items in plain sight, and asked residents to keep vehicles locked and to put items away.

A truck was also stolen Friday morning in the Belmont Glen area, according to the sheriff’s office.
