Driver flees scene of Chatham County hit-and-run with child

CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Chatham County Police Department officers responded to a hit-and-run vehicle collision Wednesday night in the area of the Chevis Road and Ridgeland intersection.
The driver of one vehicle fled the scene with their child, who police said was dropped off at a location before the driver fled. The child was quickly reunited with its mother, according to CCPD.
The investigation is active and ongoing and police said appropriate charges are pending.
