Delta plane wing clips another aircraft at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport, airline says
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A Delta Air Lines plane’s wing clipped another Delta aircraft at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday.
According to Delta, the wing of a DL1830 reportedly made contact with a A350 aircraft during pushback at the gate. No injuries were reported for the crew or customers on the flight.
“We apologize for the experience and delay in travels as we work to quickly accommodate all customers on another aircraft,” the air lines said.
Around 192 customers were on board the DL1830, along with two pilots and four flight attendants, according Delta. The A350 aircraft was empty and will not impact operations.
The recovery flight reportedly took off at 1:20 p.m.
