Lots of clouds with scattered showers and an isolated storm today. Highs will be below average in the mid 80s. Rain chances decrease this evening and we should be warm and dry overnight with lows in the mid 70s. Thursday starts out dry but scattered showers and storms developing. Highs warm back into the low 90s with heat index values around 105. Potential Tropical Cyclone One is forecast to become a tropical depression or weak tropical storm today. Landfall expected later today along the Louisiana coast. This low will weaken as it moves east-northeastward but the moisture should impact our area by Friday morning. Scattered showers and storms expected Friday morning and rain may be briefly heavy at times with gusty winds. A cold front stalls and dissipates near the area Saturday. This will bring in drier air for the weekend. We’ll see slightly higher rain chances Saturday but Sunday(Father’s Day) looks to be drier with temps in the low 90s.

Tropical Outlook: Potential Tropical Cyclone One is forecast to become a tropical system in the northwestern Gulf today. Landfall expected later today along the Louisiana coast as a tropical storm(Arthur). The system will quickly weaken as it moves generally to the east-northeast into Friday. This will bring rain chances to our area mainly Friday morning.
