Dave Turley’s First Alert Weather forecast for Tuesday, June 16, 2026

Typical summertime pattern continues through Wednesday. We’ll see lots of clouds today with showers and storms developing. There is a low end chance that one or two storms may be severe. Damaging winds are the main threat but an isolated tornado is possible. Temps drop into the mid 80s. More clouds Wednesday with a good chance for showers and storms developing especially in the afternoon. This will help keep highs in the 80s again. Our forecast for Thursday and Friday depends on how low pressure moves through the area. Right now it looks like low pressure will develop in the Gulf and move inland over Louisiana Wednesday. The low may briefly become tropical before moving inland. This low will weaken as it moves eastward but the moisture should impact our area. Scattered showers and storms expected both days with highs in the low 90s. A cold front stalls and dissipates to our west this weekend. We’ll see slightly higher rain chances and cooler temps Saturday but Sunday(Father’s Day) looks to be drier with temps back in the 90s.
