Two men indicted for the murder of Jasper Co. great-grandfather
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - A grand jury in Jasper County has formally charged two men accused of murdering beloved great-grandfather, Leroy Frost Sr., in August 2024.




They indicted Ja’Quan James and Herman Dessasure on Wednesday, August 6.

James and Dessasure are accused of shooting three people at a local bar on Dasher Road in Jasper County. One of those people was Frost Sr., who was taken to a hospital for treatment but later died.
In this case, James and Dessasure weren’t arrested immediately following the shooting, but James later turned himself in, and Dessasure was arrested later.
A jury trial is currently pending in both cases.
