Rincon family feeding the community on Thanksgiving

by WTOC Staff

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The government shutdown impacted families all over the country and right here at home.

One Rincon family is making sure the community won’t go hungry this Thanksgiving.

Free plates of food will be given out on Thanksgiving Day, as the Bean family is encouraging anyone in need to come by.

“We don’t want anybody to sit home alone at their table for Thanksgiving Day, just come out,” said Idell Bean, Beans Southern BBQ.

“The goal is to feed anyone until we run out of food,” said Skyy Bean, daughter of Idell Bean.

You can catch all the fun and grab a bite to eat right in front of Rutland Tire in Rincon.

There is still time to volunteer or donate any food items. This event is happening on Thanksgiving Day at 12:30 p.m.
