Parker’s Kitchen tops $3 million raised for local schools
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Parker’s Kitchen has now raised more than $3 million for local schools through its annual Fueling the Community program, with help from a golf tournament held at The Landings on Skidaway Island.
Each year, the convenience store chain donates the money raised through the program to public and private schools in Georgia and South Carolina. In 2024, the company gave back over $380,000. About $100,000 of that money went directly to schools in Chatham County.
“These funds are used for student scholarships and they are used at graduation,” Savannah-Chatham County School Board president Roger Moss said. “Students vote for their favorite teacher at each high school, and that teacher receives $1,000 that they can use on projects at their schools. Teachers are able to apply for grants for ideas that they have. We couldn’t do it without Parker’s.”
The tournament drew 288 golfers to the Marshwood golf course at The Landings on Oct. 20 to make a push for a new annual fundraising record of $450,000.
The Fueling the Community program continues year-round, with Parker’s donating a portion of gas sale proceeds on the first Wednesday of every month.
Customers can even assign the funds to a school of their choice through a club card. Find out more about the Fueling the Community program here.
