A cold front moves in today and stalls over the area into Saturday. The front will move back to the north Sunday. Today is a first Alert WX Day! Heat Advisory in effect until 7pm inland with an Excessive Heat Warning for coastal counties. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all counties south of the Altamaha River until 10pm. Highs today in the upper 90s with heat index values up to 117. Most areas remain dry with a rain chance at 30% by late afternoon. An isolated strong storm is possible mainly south of the Altamaha River. Rain chances decrease after sunset. Lows in the mid 70s. Lots of sun Thursday and Friday with highs in the mid 90s and low afternoon rain chances. Rain chances increase this weekend with highs back into the low 90s for most.
