No arrests confirmed in North Charleston triple shooting
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police say there were still no arrests in a shooting that injured three people around midday on Monday.
Police earlier said nine people had been detained shortly after the shooting, but they have not confirmed whether any of them are expected to face charges in connection with the shooting.
The shooting happened at around 11 a.m. in the area of Dorchester Road and Andrews Street, police said.
North Charleston Deputy Chief Rick Keys told reporters officers responded to the area after receiving about 20 calls reporting gunfire.

When they arrived, they found two males lying in the roadway, Keys said. He described the victims as being “of a young age.”
Police found the third victim a short distance away who had been shot while driving past the scene of the shootout, he said.
Police have not yet provided an update on the condition of any of the victims.
Surveillance video recorded near the shooting showed at least two people running from the area. It included the sounds of three rounds of gunfire, totalling 30 to 50 shots.
Keys confirmed the people who police detained were about a half-mile from the shooting scene and he also said police had the suspect car.
More than two dozen evidence markers were in the area and a news photographer found shell casings in a nearby parking lot.
Dorchester Road has since reopened.
Anyone with information in the shooting is asked to call the North Charleston Police Tip Line at 843-607-2076.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
